Sometimes our customers are the ones who start the idea of a new product. This was the situation with our new low profile plastic vertical supports 1004.0 and 1005.0
One of our customers was designing a new cardboard stand and needed a plastic corr-a-clip element which would make the front of the shelf lower than usual- just as in the picture below:
Classical vertical plastic supports were too high (i.e. see our model 1001.0) as their height averages at about 45 mm. The customer was looking for something almost twice as low - 25 mm.
Our design team came up with a solution of a lower profile vertical support for shelf of the cardboard stand. That's how our model 1004.0 was invented to fit our customers' needs.
Mini support element 1004.0 is only 25mm high
Using this low profile element the stand designer was able to lower the front of each shelf and achieve his goal. We were happy to design the mould for this product and extend our portfolio, so that every customer with such specific needs can order lower profile plastic support.
Another challenge was provided by yet another customer, who, in addition to lowering the shelf front, also wanted the support element to remain almost invisible from the front of the stand. We already had the 1004.0 element designed but it wasnot fully invisible.
That's the background behind the design of the HIDDEN mini support clip - model 1005.0
As you can see from the above picture - using the hidden version of the shelf support does a very good job in hiding the construction element in the stand. Facing the front of the shelf one can hardly notice the joint between the shelf and side wall of the whole construction.
